Daddy would always say “See you at the house.” It was his desire that everyone would make their way back to the Father’s house. Little did we know that daddy would get there as soon as he did. This has been so unexpected and devastating. However, we are blessed beyond measure. The way that daddy loved and how he modeled relationships is how he taught us to do family. Our family is such a comfort and blessing, which includes all those daddy adopted as family along the way. The Lord answered daddy’s prayer, “Jesus give me your heart for people and Holy Spirit teach me to love Jesus like you do.” Because of this, our family has become the beneficiaries of our father’s love and is such a comfort during this time. Thank you for all the testimonies, pictures, thoughts and prayer. Our family is eternally grateful. It is our hope that daddy’s prayer would become yours and you would discover the joy that is Jesus.

Good morning beautiful people. On behalf of all the Hobbs family, we want to express our deepest appreciation for the multitude of prayer you have prayed for our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He would tell you your prayers have been answered. At 10:43 this morning, he took his last few steps in the journey back to the house. He did so good and finished well. Our family is eternally grateful for how you have loved him. John W. Hobbs was one of a kind. There will never be another like him and we are so blessed. We will be posting service information and details as we have it. Be blessed.

There will be a family visitation on March 26th, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel (4108 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
The Celebration of Life for John Hobbs will be held on April 3rd, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Christian Fellowship (244 Williams Dr, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948).
