On Sunday morning I was intending to just share a few thoughts concerning Ps 103, and as I did I found myself marveling at God’s provision and the incredible blessing of obedience.  “Bless the Lord o my soul, and all that is within me bless His Holy Name.”  His Name and His Nature are the same: to praise Him is to express an attitude of gratitude in our hearts for Who He Is.  Who He is can never change, and because of that His Word and His Promises are eternal.  Our obedience in praise speaks life and encouragement to our spirit man and spirit woman.  What really captured me in a new way was, “He has redeemed your life from the pit and He has crowned your head with love and compassion.”  He sent His Love and His Compassion into the pit–the place of destruction–to pull us out, and then He bathed us in His Love and His Compassion so that we can walk in newness of life–His Life in us–Christ in us the Hope of Glory!  Praise kicks this in gear!  However, we must chose to be a people of praise, and sometimes we just have to talk to ourselves–self get your eyes off your mess and get your eyes on Him and praise Him.  Then you can watch the tranformation that comes from within as the reality of Who He Is rises up and reveals in fresh ways the reality of who we are in Him.  Praise Him!  Have a great day in Jesus!
